Call to Caucus 2012

You are invited and encouraged to attend the 2012 Republican Party of Dunn County annual caucus on Saturday morning, January 28th at the Stout Ale House 1501 N Broadway (South end of the old Thunderbird Mall).  The meeting is from 10 AM to 12 noon.

This is an opportunity to be involved at the grass roots level by helping form the platform of the Republican Party of Wisconsin as we develop and vote on party resolutions.  Delegates to the District caucus and State convention will also be appointed.

State Senators Sheila Harsdorf & Terry Moulton and Representatives Tom Larson & Warren Petryk are attending and will share a few words of wisdom with us.

Watch for news regarding the 2012 Lincoln Day Dinner in the spring where attendees can meet their 2012 Legislative candidates, including US Senate candidates,  and socialize with their conservative friends and neighbors.  Time and place yet to be determined.

HQ May Be Open Soon

In the event of recalls, Dunn County Republicans will open a Headquarters to assist Governor Walker and Senator Moulton in their campaigns to keep their elected seats.  People will be able to pick up campaign signs and literature.  Keep watching for updates.

Barb Black's Convention Report

I was privileged again this year to be a delegate to this years Republican Party of Wisconsin State Convention 2011 held at Wilderness Lodge in Wisc. Dells May 20-22. As usual it included Seminars, receptions with various legislators and ended with the Prayer Breakfast Sun. AM, my favorite part. It was a record breaking crowd of over one thousand in attendance, esp. for an off election year.

Speakers/guests included the new Rep.National Chairman from Wis. Reince Priebus; our new State Chairman, Brad Courtney; Gov. Scott Walker, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, Sen. Ron Johnson, the following Congressmen Jim Sensenbrenner,  Paul Ryan, Tom Petri, and Sean Duffy; State Treas. Kurt Schuller, Sen Maj. Leader Scott Fitzgerald, assembly speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, Wisc. Dells Mayor Brian Landers, and Wisc College Rep. Chair Matt Rossetto. Radio talk show host, Brian Schimming, emceed most of the event. 

There were many more too numerous to mention and of course our district senators and assemblymen including Dan Kapanke, Warren Petryk and Tom Larson. Our own third district chairman, Maripat Krueger from Menomonie, received the 2010 Bovey Award, a very high award given to few people that are outstanding in dedication and sacrifice over the years to the party.
